ABOUT
Alison Odle is a local artist, art teacher, and lifelong creative. As a founding force behind Support The Pink House (STPH), Alison helped guide the community-driven effort to honor, protect, and document the beloved landmark that captured the hearts of thousands. Her dedication to organizing, storytelling, and visual advocacy played a central role in bringing people together around the shared mission of preserving the Pink House’s legacy.
A passionate advocate for local artists, Alison made their work a central pillar of her outreach. She championed the painters, photographers, illustrators, and makers who were inspired by the Pink House, ensuring their voices and visions were seen and celebrated. Through social media, community events, artist spotlights, and curated Pink House art shows, she consistently uplifted the creative community, helping many artists reach wider audiences and reinforcing how deeply the house resonated through local art.
In addition to her advocacy, Alison is the creator of The Pink House Coloring Book, a playful and heartfelt project that invited artists of all ages to engage with the house’s iconic silhouette and make it their own. Her imagery, workshops, and outreach inspired Pink House fans to connect more deeply with both the house and the landscape it adorned for nearly a century.
As an art educator, Alison is known for her warm, accessible approach to teaching, rooted in the belief that creativity belongs to everyone. Her classes blend technique with joy, offering a welcoming space for artists at all levels to explore watercolor, drawing, and other mediums with confidence. Whether in the studio, in the classroom, or out in the vibrant coastal environment she calls home, she continues to champion the power of art to bring people together and preserve the stories that matter.
This book is the culmination of Alison’s years of involvement with The Pink House: an artistic, historical, and emotional tribute to a place that shaped both her work and her community. Alison also believes in giving back to artists, and a portion of each book sold goes to the artists featured in the compilation.
