Ephemeral Summer $275

Oil on Canvas 20” x 24”

Wood frame

2025

This painting grew out of my love for quiet, in-between moments in the midst of larger journeys. The small, ordinary experiences that say more about us than big, dramatic ones ever could. I wanted to portray the contrast between the calm, steady gaze of the figure and the simple frustration of a melting ice cream cone in her hand. It’s a tiny disappointment, but one we all recognize.

As I painted her, I thought about how often life is shaped by these subtle, everyday moments: learning to hold grace and resilience at the same time.

For me, this piece is about accepting what slips away, without losing your sense of self. It’s about being present, even when things aren’t quite perfect. I hope this painting brings a feeling of warmth and quiet reflection into your space. A gentle reminder to notice the beauty in life as it unfolds
